We’re doing our bit to be sustainable...
Intro
At Tims, we are committed to achieving carbon neutral by 2030 and net zero by 2050, and have already reduced fossil fuel energy use by over a third.
We work closely with family-owned British dairy farms, all meeting Red Tractor standards with a strong focus on animal welfare and responsible farming. These partnerships underpin the quality and integrity of our ingredients and products.
We are also making progress in reducing plastic in our packaging and lowering our environmental impact across the supply chain—so our customers can choose high quality dairy they trust and which is made responsibly.
Responsible farming. Better British milk.
Milk
We source our milk from Trewithen Dairy and Pattemores, who use sustainable farming and responsible processing in the UK, to care for the land, animals, and future. Their practices support healthy soils, biodiversity, and high animal welfare standards, ensuring milk that’s naturally better.
Sustainability starts with a great team...
Team
We have a wonderful and passionate team throughout our dairy, who are not only dedicated to creating amazing yogurt, but looking at a greener future too. In 2018 we set up our Greenpot Team, aimed at improving packaging and reducing waste.
We’re over the over-lids...
Over lids
We were the first to remove plastic over-lids on our products, saving more than 11 tonnes of plastic in 2020 and every year since. We’ve also had a major overhaul on the amount of plastic we use in packaging and distribution.
Reduce, Reuse & Recycle...
Recycling
In 2023, we proudly moved to 95% recycled in our retail packaging and reduced Electricity, Water and Gas usage per pot by 25%. We have also reduced food miles by changing how we source and distribute our products. In 2024, in order to reuse and upcycle our cardboard, we started working with Reuseabox.
Waste not, want not...
Food waste
Approximately 70% of food waste across the globe each year is perfectly edible. So in 2024, we started donating short shelf life products to FareShare, an organisation fighting hunger by redistributing perfectly good surplus food to charities across the UK.
We’re not perfect but we’re trying our best...
Future
We're now measuring our carbon footprint so we can take meaningful action. Our focus is on renewable energy, better energy efficiency, solar power, biogas, and further waste reduction. We're not perfect yet — but we're committed to making better choices as we grow.
